Your Mac keyboard may lack Home and End keys, but you can jump to the beginning and end of documents, pages and apps with one of two keyboard shortcuts. When Mouse Keys is on, you can use the numeric keypad to move the mouse. The best part about this Mac utility is that it works on all the apps (at least on all the apps that I use). All you need to do is hold down on the CMD key while you are using an app and it will pull up all the keyboard shortcuts that the app supports. For opening apps and the like, stick with Global, because we want to be able to open an app whatever we happen to be doing at the time. We'll start with a shortcut to open Safari.
To see a list of shortcuts that you can use with an app, press and hold the Command ⌘ key when you use the app or on the Home screen.
Use common keyboard shortcuts
Most iPad keyboard shortcuts use the Command ⌘ key, like on a Mac. If you're more familiar with a PC keyboard, the Command ⌘ key does the same thing as the Control key on a PC.
Mac Os Hotkey
Here are some common keyboard shortcuts:
- Command-H: Go to the Home screen.
- Command-Space bar: Show or hide the Search field.
- Command-Tab: Switch to the next most recently used app among your open apps.
- Command-Shift-3: Take a screenshot.
- Command-Shift-4: Take a screenshot and immediately open Markup to view or edit it.
- Command-Option-D: Show or hide the Dock.
